To those of you who read this blog regularly (read: no one), you’re aware of my ongoing unwillingness to swim in my costume in public.  Well, there’s been a new development on that story.  See, there’s this girl I’ve been seeing lately, and as my interest in merpeople kinda occupies an awkward no man’s land between a hobby and a fetish, I’d been trying to think of a way to fool around a bit while swimming in the costume.  It’s a pretty tricky problem considering It requires a pool I can use privately, but after giving it some thought I realized that hotels all have indoor pools that don’t have lifeguards, so all I need is a way to use one of those.  I’d had the idea idly for a while, but I didn’t really act until yesterday, when I decided to scout out a couple hotels right near the grocery store I had to stop by anyway.  As it turns out, the third of the three hotels near the grocery store doesn’t require key card access, so my friend and I are going to try to go swimming later tonight.  Wish me luck, cause if this goes badly “Man in Mermaid Costume Facing Trespassing Charges” just might be on CNN.com.

Oh, and here’s a piece I did a while ago.  I’m quite pleased with it.  The proportions aren’t great, but I was just trying to work on painting.
